Dearest Barbara Ann,

When I first saw you and Beau on the streets of Menlo Park in 1967, I thought I want to get to know this lovely woman with beautiful black thick hair shining, blue eyes, and this little adorable, energetic, blonde boy alongside her. We soon got acquainted and  I invited you to swim in the pool at 720 Coleman Ave. and thrilled at this little guy splashing around.

You were the California Dreamin’ woman I so admired. “I’ll have what she’s having.”

Oh what a psychodramatic actress you were. You were my role model at 1001 Forest Ave. You did everything — managed the finances, acted, cooked, parented, volunteered,  always expressing yourself with honesty, vitality and a lovely smile.

You give me so much, dear one.

In continued gratitude and admiration,

Dorothy
